About Me

I am Simon and I am in my 30s. I hold a PhD in biotechnology and systems thinking and follow a multidisciplinary scientific approach. Most of my scientific publications focus on integrated food production systems, but I also publish about COVID-related topics such as human metabolism, vitamin D, food security, and mathematics.

In 2010 I started to work as an investigative journalist. I created the platform crowdleaks and, among other things, I was jointly responsible for uncovering the Stuxnet Virus scandal. It seems that I have always had a fable for viruses. 😉

I am currently developing sustainable food production systems in collaboration with a scientific institute. This covers our dietary intake, but also next-gen aquaponic systems. About the latter, I have written a best-selling book that has been published by Springer Nature and almost achieved 1,000,000 downloads.

In addition to getting our lives back, my personal passion is the principle of permaculture. I find it fascinating to what degree this crisis-proof concept has an impact on our health and general well-being. Did you know that each kg of fish contains about 1 gram of microplastics per kg of flesh? Caring for your own health, food, and freedom is the only way to be really independent of despotism. That’s what I’m fighting for.
